Work & Social Enterprise
ROC has developed many opportunities
for voluntary work. For those people with a learning disability
who enjoy the challenge of productive work, there is support
to work in the craft studio, a shop which retails the craft-ware,
two productive farms and office work. All with excellent training
and support there are openings in craft, woodwork, pottery,
office, horticulture, farming, forestry, vehicle and machinery
maintenance, mail-order fulfilment , computer design and growing
list of work opportunities as ROC discovers other new ventures.
ROC knows that varied, interesting and fullfilling work is
wanted by people with a wide range of abilities and that it
leads to a sense of responsibility, self- worth and self-
respect. If this can also lead to earning money the sense
of achievement is increased.
